May 15, 2006With the arrival of graduation season, Fiducial held its own graduation ceremony of sorts last week when eight employees completed New Member Initial Training at the company’s Technical and Administrative Support Center (TASC) in Columbia, MD.
Fiducial employees pictured during last week’s New Member Intitial Training are, from left, Natalee Greer, Floran Eyme, Charles (Chic) Hilliker, David Gadberry, Penny Sue Jones, Stacy Joseph and Zachary Cohen. Missing from photo is Kim Anders. |
Participating in the training session were Charles (Chic) Hilliker, district manager for Indiana; Natalee Greer, a business associate II in Greenwood, IN, Penny Sue Jones, a senior business advisor in Columbus, IN, Stacy Joseph, a business advisor in Houston, TX, and David Gadberry, a senior business advisor in Houston. Joining the group from TASC were Zachary Cohen, a field operations associate, administrative assistant Kim Anders and intern Floran Eyme.
Attendees received a thorough orientation and introduction to the company’s services starting with the Fiducial vision that was presented by Yves Morard-Lacroix, executive vice president. He explained the one company, one system, one support network concept to the trainees as well as Fiducial’s goals of building a worldwide multidisciplinary company using its proven methods.
At the ceremony held last Friday afternoon in the Fiducial Institute, Morard-Lacroix told the graduates that “we hoped you grabbed something from the spirit here that you can use.”
With graduates and company employees about to enjoy some cake in honor of those completing training, Bill Morice, director of field operations, remarked that “it’s you guys that generate the revenue that pays for this building and the cake.”
Putting a face with a name
Jim Layton, director of systems support and development, is in charge of coordinating the training program. He thought the training session went well even with a wealth of information being imparted to attendees in a short time.
“They were very enthusiastic and ready to return back to the office to input the system,” said Layton.
For Hilliker, the week-long training session proved invaluable and helped him put a face with an email address with the staff at TASC.
“I learned where I can go to when I have certain issues,” said Hilliker who acknowledged that Fiducial’s ESolutions web-based applications and proprietary Advantage accounting software are “two of the biggest tools we have.”
Gadberry joined the company in March but this was his first chance to meet professionals face-to-face at TASC.
“The company seems like a big family,” said Gadberry. “It makes me glad to be part of the organization.”
Ready to put it to good use
Like his fellow graduates, Gadberry will not only take plenty of information back to his office on Fiducial’s systems but the key contacts he can draw upon for assistance in the future.
“There are so many people here that are up on things that I can rely on,” he said.
Having operated his own business, Joseph knows all about the importance of marketing and he was impressed with Fiducial’s marketing program.
“The training really keeps you up on what good marketing will do for you,” said Joseph.
Jones, an Enrolled Agent, with 15 years of public accounting experience, also found the training session worthwhile.
“There was a lot of great information presented here,” said Jones. “Learning about the system is very helpful. I’m anxious to get back and put it to good use.”
